These will be done today, when I get caught up at work. I got in yesterday and was falt wiped out. We left St. Louis at midnight and drove home all night so we could spend Easter with the family)I have had buddies running mu auction for me, while I was out of town, except the few times I could get on-line). I went yesterday with no sleep and went to bed right after my kids last night around 7pm. I am sorry if this has been somewhat of an inconvience for some but you know how it goes sometimes. These will be done at sometime today, hopefully as soon as I get caught up, most likely after lunch.

Bowbie,

Nothing personal, but it's not about our convience. It's about the fact that there's a 24hr rule and it has now gone over 72hrs on these contracts. Like it was said seeing this is our first time around with the 24hr contract years rule that things should be a little lax and it would be understandable if some teams missed the deadline by hours and maybe even a half a day this first time around, but it's been over 72hrs. Now this opens up for situations in the future where if somebody misses a deadline or ignores a rule they're going to expect the same treatment in which everyone else looks the other way, because that's what was done before.

I know its not my job to interepet the spirit of the rule but from my understanding, the rule was set to keep people from bidding and winning a player and then waiting for news to occur that might affect his value/contact status. This is not the case here and we could nitpick on a lot of the rules. He's been very open about his vacation and I don't feel like this 3 days of no contract has effected my team at all. I don't feel like it has been an unfair advantage gained by this 2 days of uncertainty...if this was to have dragged out until 2 days before the draft...maybe it could have been seen as taking advantage of the rules... Just my :2cents:

My team sure looks good on paper...even without a stud RB

They are all now done. I hope not signing my guys has not kept you from your sleep or caused you any great pain. Yet many new of my going out town including you before I left. I had little to no computer access, I had friends helping me and they were growing tired of my constant phone calls and herassment. So me asking them to do yet another thing was something I chose not to do. I am not trying to fight with you about this, but I feel you are trying to make something out of nothing. I posted I would sign my guys when I got back, nowhere did it say I might sign my guys. If we go foward a year, they would all be signed to the one year deal I signed them to anyways. If I was not present or active I could see where you are coming from, but I am both so I find this kind of crazy.

I guess we're even then, because I, like others, can't understand most of your concerns.

In the end its much do to about nothing as all the contracts are for 1 year anyway and the spirit of the rule is exactly as Boys II Men pointed out. So there is/was nothing gained so its not a big deal in this instance, but it could have been an issue.

For everyone, just to avoid confusion and problems going forward, anytime you'll be away and won't be able to check the computer, post on the message board, well before you leave and if you need any help or an extension on this or any other deadline, just ask, most of the time it will be just fine. It really helps for everyone when everything is done up frontand out in the open.

Though, if during that extension of the deadline any news passes that effects the value of the player the contracts will be one year no matter what.
