Very fun time of year
I agree. I'm never surprised at the prices. They always seem to be higher than you think.bonscott wrote:Going to be a lot of high salaries for mediocre players as there isn't much out there and a lot of salary cap to spend. My prediction.
Yea, we'll see. As it stands right now he'd be the 4th highest paid player in the league which is way overpriced.joe.commish wrote:I agree. I'm never surprised at the prices. I totally dropped the ball on not franchising Marshall -- truth be told, I just forgot to do it as life got in the way. Oh well, he'll at least cut into someone's cap. (yours if no one outbids you at the time of this post!)

Cutler needs to be bumped, 2.5 is way too cheap.
Looks like he prefers the great Josh McCown to sorry ass BreesyWascawy Wabbits wrote: Where's LVE to drop a bomb on Brees like he did w/ Brady last year?!?!
Lurking in the shadows ready to strike and piss everyone off I'm sure.Wascawy Wabbits wrote:I wonder where Midwest is?

Pissing people off is the best part of this whole auction.Wascawy Wabbits wrote:Haha ya...braven112 wrote:Lurking in the shadows ready to strike and piss everyone off I'm sure.Wascawy Wabbits wrote:I wonder where Midwest is?
Midwest is probably gonna start signing guys when they're set to expire tonight
I thought it was earlier than last year myself. Maybe the the calendar carried over from last year pushed it up a day and I didn't notice? I was a little surprised you weren't on yesterday after I texted you.bocious wrote:Actually, I didn't start until today because the constitution says free agency wasn't starting until today, March 14th. It's more than a little frustrating to log in on the day referenced in the constitution only to find out that my auctions are more likely to be sniped because they won't close until a day after the first players go off the table.
Sounds like we've gotta START OVER!!!!!!!!braven112 wrote:I thought it was earlier than last year myself. Maybe the the calendar carried over from last year pushed it up a day and I didn't notice? I thought you were texting to let me know it was about to start, not that it had already been going for 13 hours. I can't say I'm particularly overjoyed by this, but unwinding bids for 14 other teams is obviously not a good solution either (as far as I can tell, Shane is the only other guy who waited until today), but considering I'll be at your house for March Madness next week, I'm sure we can find a way for you to make it up for me.braven112 wrote:I thought it was earlier than last year myself. Hahahaha!!! I was honestly thinking of proposing that just to see everyone's reactions.Wascawy Wabbits wrote: Sounds like we've gotta START OVER!!!!!!!!
Seriously. I develop way more rivalries in the offseason with what occurs in bidding than over the inseason win/lossesbocious wrote: Pissing people off is the best part of this whole auction.
No last minute snipes with those first guys off the board this year.bonesman wrote:Seriously. I develop way more rivalries in the offseason with what occurs in bidding than over the inseason win/lossesbocious wrote: Pissing people off is the best part of this whole auction.
I'm way overpaying for Rivers now. Damn that was a horrible trade. Thought I'd go a different direction this year since what I've been doing hasn't been working but with the lack of talent this year it's going to screw me. Oh well, another lost season.Wascawy Wabbits wrote:And QB sure is devalued this year, huh?
I think I got a steal on Cutler. Romo only $4m this year. Brees only $9m..
Brady and Ryan are only $3m right now
On the timing, I've always thought we started on Thursday to go with the start of March Maddness however it seems March Maddness is once again pushed out another week, they better start calling it April Maddness or something now.braven112 wrote:I thought it was earlier than last year myself.
