I give up, sick and tired

Ok, I give up. That's it.

The bidding on a player with less then 20 minutes left has finally got to me. Fine. I refuse to bid up on any more players. Just go ahead an outbid me on whatever I have on the board and I'll take whatever scrubs are left in a month. I can't tell you how frustrating and stupid this is. :wall: :wall: :wall:

For crying out loud, if you want to bid a guy up fine. But to keep waiting until 15 minutes left over and over again is just leaving a very bad taste in my mouth for this league. I frankly just don't want to deal with it anymore at this point.

Yea, I'm also sick and tired of LV Elites trying to bid me up on Ladell Betts...which I'm sure doesn't interest him in the least. But I have Portis, and figured someone would try to make me pay for the cuff. Congrats LV, you now have Ladell Betts unless someone else outbids you...maybe Portis gets injured and you get a starter for a week or two. :sweet:

I understand your frustration. My advice for overcoming this is to put in a real proxy bid on where yo'd stop bidding on the player. For me, taht number on LT was at 11,875,000. I put that number in and in the last couple hours he bumped from 9 to 10.1 mill. I still had him where I thought it was fair. If I had not had a high enough proxy, he'd have been bid up past the 10.1 as others would think more about it and pay the money. When I got LT players like Edge were under a mil and LJ was around 3 mil. Last season, when we did not have a proxy, it took me forever to score a player. So set a max bid and then be prepared to walk away from the player. The bumpers will soon be full of players they are not sold on and out of cap room.

Well said!! I haven't been pissed (yet :P ) when someone bid on a player in the last couple minutes because I tried to always have a true max bid as my proxy bid. The one time I didn't have my max bid I got burned but I felt like that was my fault.

I did feel pretty good a few times this year when a couple people outbid me at the last second and IMO overpaid for a couple players. :yippee:

I know you and I were in a tight race for Chad Johnson there for a bit, but I don't feel that I overpayed. 6 mill was my stopping point.

I agree, I wasn't referring to the Chad Johnson contract, I think you got a good deal for him.
