Cutting Peterson
So All Day goes to court this week. Chances are he won't be getting any good news and it will be determined for sure that he's not going to play this year. At that point in time I will likely be sending him to the FA pool.
What kind of ripple effect do you think that might have across the league? Will guys dump high paid/low paid guys in order to try to scoop up ADP for future years? Could be an interesting situation.

A little surprised there weren't more bids on Peterson to try and stash him for next season

Re: Cutting Peterson
me too, obviously... I guess I should've assumed from the lack of convo here that few were interested.
Not sure how you can doubt the greatest RB of our generation, but okay.

No salary cap available, why even bother when you'd be obviously outbid. LOL

Re: Cutting Peterson
I was surprised DD didn't cut Ben Tate to try to make a play. Bet he's regretting that right about now.
But ADP is supposedly done for the year, so that removes any chance of me having sellers remorse until at least Sept of next year.
Time to Beast out now.

Re: Cutting Peterson
I don't want any part of ADP in this contract league. If I picked him up, I would have definitely added several years to his contract. He's probably not on the Vikings next year and he's going to be 30. Too much risk to throw out a multiple year 6 million dollar contract in my opinion.

Re: Cutting Peterson
Agree to a point, I think you are overstating the risk though. The cap hit if you cut him would only be like 1.5 mil if he has 3 years on his contract... and you'd probably be able to find a trade partner if you wanted to move him (look at the circumstances I was able to move him under... and the piece I got!)
I think he'll be able to come back and be a top5 RB for another year or two. He's the most prototypical back I've seen in my life and I wouldn't bet against him being great into his mid 30s.
