Heading into the third round, lets get this thread going!
I'm all done my picks now, so here goes
1.4 - Corey "CoCo" Coleman: This was a pretty simple pick, draft whoever fell from the consensus top 4. Last year I used the #4 pick after a trade up and acquired Kevin White (sucks he was injured all of last year), this year it's Corey Coleman. I think I would've been happy with any player that was available at 1.4, although I began to grow to like Coleman a little more over Doctson. When MIN drafted Treadwell, I knew that it was pretty much a lock that Poker was gonna be picking him at the 1.2, so I had no idea what way Geeks would be leaning. After Doctson went off the board I had a big smile on my face knowing that I had CoCo sitting there waiting for me. The kid's an athletic freak and I'm stoked to have him on my team. The Browns are currently an iffy situation, but they seem to be righting that ship and now have a great HC in Hue Jackson and seemed to be setting themselves up for future success. Coleman's definitely a "luxury" pick given my current WR depth, he probably won't sniff my starting lineup this season and looks like he's my WR8 as of today, but I'll happily roster him and watch him develop! I'm hoping that by the time Keenan Allen and Dez Bryant's contracts are up prior to the 2018 season, that I can rely on Corey Coleman to step up and fill one of those starter roles.
1.12 - Traded to FRA for a 2017 1sts and the 2.18. I was targeting Procise and Goff with this pick, and they went 1.10 & 1.11 to Poker & Vit so I'm glad I didn't end up keeping it. Probably would've considered drafting Boyd if I kept it.
1.14 - Austin Hooper: Had a few guys on my list for this pick and came close to making a trade, but things didn't work out so I went with drafting Austin Hooper. Hunter Henry was the 1st TE drafted, but Gates is still pretty great and blocking him for at least a year or two, so I went with Austin Hooper who I think should be starting pretty early in his career, maybe by mid-season? Jacob Tamme is meh and Levine Toilolo is basically an OL playing TE. Tons of opportunity to become Matt Ryan's favourite target behind Julio Jones. Tyler Eifert hasn't exactly been a beacon of good health, so here's to hoping that if he gets injured I have a solid backup plan in Hooper.
2.10 - DeAndre Washington: Oakland has built a beast of an OL and I don't think they have a ton of confidence in Latavius Murray. One injury or a couple of rough outings and Washington could supplant Murray as the starter in Oakland.
2.16 - Traded to Poker pre-draft for the rights to Brett Hundley. Figured that owning Rodgers' backup would be more beneficial for my team this season then drafting a rookie QB w/ one of my first round picks. If Rodgers goes down, I think Hundley can carry the team. He showed a ton of promise last season and GB was confident enough to let Tolzien walk and not sign or draft another backup. If he does end up having another strong preseason, maybe GB trades him to become another teams starter next offseason.
2.18 - Put a bunch of offers out and had some counters on it but ended up using the pick to draft Pharoh Cooper. I had a couple other guys I was considering here as well but he's been ranked in the teens by tons of rookie rankings so I figured I'd save him from falling further. Again, this is a dude that won't sniff my lineup anytime soon, but he was BPA and he slid quite a bit in our draft. Sure, he ended up w/ the Rams, but Goff has to throw to someone and the WR depth chart there is a barren wasteland. Welcome to my bench, Coop.
