$8m is a lot to risk when you don't know where the dudes playing. New season should start later to see where FAs end up, imo.

I guess... But his situation in CHI wasn't exactly top notch.. I thought that once news spread about CHI not Franchising Alshon that it might drive his market a bit more. Guess not.

Also I don't think it's very often that players here get tagged that are also FAs in the NFL? It's part of the fun of rostering players that are going to be FAs and seeing where they end up... Does their value skyrocket or tank? It'll be interesting to see what happens w/ Blount.

Yeah blount will be interesting. Regardless of where he ends up, I'll take him over any RBs we got available. Still would be nice to know where he's playing. We wouldn't hold the draft before the draft.

If you are ever uncomfortable with the risk of tagging a player, let him go to Free Agency and sign him for what you think he is worth, when you have more information. You always have that choice. Our free agency starts after the NFL free agency.

I thought the point of tagging is to receive compensation if your number is out bid? You lose that if you let him go to FA.

Carson Palmer the 2nd highest paid FA QB

I think this has been one of the stranger FAs I've participated in since joining The League. There were some fat wallets at the start, but no one seemed to be opening em up! Except for the jerks bidding up AJG ( DD ) & Brady (I'd guess Dangsters?) when they were close to expiring The updates to MFL have removed the ability to know who to revenge bid against. I guess it was considered a bug, and not a feature.

The RBs this year weren't very good. No sure thing like past years, so prices being so low were expected... I thought Peterson and Charles may have gone for more just based on name value... I'm sure LB is drooling because the Franchise tag for Bell is going to remain at $7m.

The WRs were decent tho? AJG and a handful of low end WR1s and a bunch of WR2s, but they all went for so cheap? Thought for sure we'd see a few in the $8m range, but no one got into big bidding wars this year... At least not until now w/ LVE and Mavericks going back and forth on Sanders.

Pigskins came out like a bandit, rebuilding that team so easily in FA. Those contracts on DT, Crabtree, and Ben were great.

Good trade by Mavericks to get a 1st & 3rd for Ryan's 1yr contract... Basically Ryan, '18 2nd, $3m for Luck, '18 1st, 3.14. Not too shabby! Too bad the trade happened so late in FA, otherwise he could've made more noise to build up that squad when there were more FAs.

Bring on the rookie draft!

I can't complain, I expected to be in full rebuild mode but definitely ended up with some solid players. If things don't go well I have some players available to trade.

I've been rebuilding for 3 years now. I've got to stop ing and drafting.

1.14 Samaje Perine- Tried to trade the pick but went BPA. Figured I'd be taking one of the top 3 TE based on team need but they got scooped. Glad I could piss off Siege so much with this one, but the thought that I'm copying off his draft board with this selection is laughable. P!rrrrrrine is going off the board much earlier in most leagues (non TE premium) and was pretty no brainer here. Glad Ross went ahead of me. Hopefully get some Stephen Davis type years out of him (though he didn't break out till year FOUR!) but he's prob more Shonn Greene. Should know early on at least


2.3 Jamaal Williams- I think this guy is the first Packer I've ever drafted ! GB backfield is wide open for the taking. Especially if there's any injury at the WR position and they move Montgomery back. The ceiling is so high for this guy with the TD potential. My pals Siege, LVE and Wabs are going to be kicking themselves for years wondering how they passed on this guy.... or


3.13 Aaron Jones- Maybe this guy! I have very very little faith in Montgomery maintaining as a real RB. This guy's got the athletic profile and natural hands to be a Gio Bernard type. I'm amazed he made it through that 3rd round flurry. Easily willing to give up 2 late 3rds to insure I have a great shot at the GB rb2 opening day.

UDFA Kenny Gollaway- I think the whole fantasy community is sleeping on this guy. Probably a reach in the 3rd by the Lions but he was projected as a 4th or 5th. Lots to get excited about with the player with great size/speed/hands/production... and great destination with ample opportunity with nothing of note at WR3 for the Lions and a big lack of size at the position since the departure of Mega No way he can fill those shoes but we know Stafford knows how to use a big guy with ups and a huge catch radius in the redzone. Worth a shot.
