"The Georgia Punishers would like to welcome our prized FA "Michael Vick" to the team. Mike will immediately take over as the team leader replacing last years flop but still a hall of fame QB "Brett Farve". As a team we feel very blessed to have come away from FA with Mr. Vick and without breaking the bank" stated owner and coach Shawn D Sherman.
Coach Sherman was also quoted saying "We have some good young talent on roster and will look to get Mike a few more guys to throw the ball to in the upcoming draft"
Analysis: The Punishers flat out stole Vick from the league for a mere $6.5mil and with young talent at RB in Bradshaw, Jones, Starks and Torain the Punishers simply need to add some weapons at WR. Second year starting WR and 2010 rookie stud WR Mike Williams isn't a bad start. Punshers, owners of the 1.01, 1.07, 1.09 and 2.01 are certainly in position to add the help that they need. The question will be if the players taken at those picks can have a Mike Williams type first year in the league and help move the Georgia Punishers into contention. Only time will tell......
