Auction Bidding

Post by Achon44 » Sun Mar 29, 2009 4:30 am

It looks like the parameters need to be changed. I attempted to make a bid, but the system told me I'd be unable to fill my roster and I know that should not have been the case.

It might be this setting:

Should owners be forced to have a full roster at the end of the auction? Yes

In our current "no roster limit" state, there still has to be a technical limit which looks to be 35 on the rules page. Thus the auction will try to force everyone to 35 players. We need to set this to No would be my guess.

All the other settings, at least as much as we can see from the rules page, appear to be correct. Proxy bids, auction over 36 hours after the high bidder has changed.

I'm sure the commish will be waking up soon.

What do you have on your auction screen guys?

I've been able to bid and I have this:

Your Roster Status:

* Number Of Players On Roster: 11
* High Bidder On: 4
* Can Bid On An Additional: 20
* League Roster Limit: 35

I also have plenty of auction funds left. That setting I talked about may solve the problem but I'm not so sure so those with problems, does the auction screen appear to indicate you have funds available and roster space as well?

However, that setting would force us to each have 35 players so if you're under 10 mil or so it would set aside 425K for each player up to 35 so it would force your max bid lower. Now that I think about it, it's probably just that setting and nothing else.

I think it needs to know that we only need a minimum of 20 players for a valid roster.

I've got 10 mil left to bid on and only need 5 players to hit 20, and its rejecting a 2 mil bid on a player. Its got to be trying to make me roster 35...

Your Financial Status:
Current Auction Funds Spent: $35,515,250
Auction Funds Allocated Towards High Bids: $0
Remaining Auction Funds: $9,484,750
League Auction Funds Limit: $45,000,000
Your Roster Status:
Number Of Players On Roster: 18
High Bidder On: 0
Can Bid On An Additional: 17
League Roster Limit: 35

In order to have enough money to completely fill your roster, you may bid no more than $2,684,750 on any one player.

With over 9M and only 2 spots to fill out for the minimum requirements I should be able to bid much more than $2,684,750 on any one player.
