Newbie reminder, Feb 15th deadline for drops

Just a reminder to the newbies (and all of us really) that Feb 15th is the deadline to drop you players and have their 50% cap hit count against 2011. After that you'll take your 50% hit in the current 2012 season and any future hits will be for 2013.

Forgive the newbie question, but when will the rosters be updated to reflect 2012 contracts, salary, and salary adjustments? I'm assuming the 15th/16th?

Correct. The season starts on the 15th so after that when the commish gets time he'll update rosters, probably by the end of the week I'd guess.

In looking at the calender looks like the deadline is 11:45 pm EST to drop players as that is when the new season officially starts. I will use that time as the cut off for doing cap hits.

However this time is on the 14th and last years calender indicates the 15th so I'll try to get the commish to clarify or update the calender.

End of Day on the 15th at 11:45 ET will be the deadline to make your drops and then sometime after that hopefully within the hour or so I'll update the salaries and contracts to they reflect 2012 amounts.
