The only change I would like to see is that all pick compensation is frozen February 1st across the board rather than at the time each team makes a bid.
I am not sure I quite understand the the statement that all pick compensation is frozen Feb 1st. Would that mean all draft picks are frozen and no trading can occur that includes draft picks during this time? If so, I am not sure we would want that limitation as not all draft picks would necessarily be used for tagging. If that is not what it means could you clarify?

Thanks,

I don't think that pick trading should be frozen. I think as long as the team that's tagging a player is properly compensated, that's what primarily matters? And as long as we clarify the value of the toilet bowl picks and how they relate to the tagging, things should be kosher, no?

I would think that if a team is able to maximize the value of their draft pick(s) by making a trade prior to making a bid, and is still able to properly compensate for that tagged player, I'd be fine with it. (This could easily bite me in the ass next year when Graham gets tagged for a 2nd time)

You can still trade anytime you want. I just mean that the picks you have on February 1st are what you can use for tagging. You are saying that each bidding team sets there own deadline. I chose Feb 1st because its the start of the tagging period and it would be the same for everyone.

Usually, when the commissioner has a good team, these are the kind of polls you see...

Can we clarify this?
Cuz I don't think it's in the constitution anywhere about the picks you own on Feb 1st being the picks you can use during the tagging period.
I'm curious w/ tagging now happening and a future 2nd is looking like it'll be valuable commodity during the tagging period.

The rules are in the constitution under "Player Tags"
