When is a player locked into a lineup?

Will Fuller is on a bye. Computer Jocks had him in the lineups that he submitted on Thursday and Saturday night. An hour and twelve minutes after the kickoff of the early games, a new lineup has Fuller out and Torrey Smith in.

I know that players in the late games and Monday night can come in and out of a lineup until the kickoff of their games, but how can someone replace a bye week player that for whatever reason was in their starting lineup after the start of the first wave of games?
