Rookie Draft timer

Post by bonscott » Thu May 03, 2012 6:08 am

I know the draft timer is 12 hours per pick. Last year I think the timer was suspended during the overnight hours, is that the case this year as well?

I don't know... but I would urge everyone to pre-draft unless you plan on shopping your pick. It's not that uncommon for someone to let the timer expire on them allowing the person behind them to pick ahead. If you're not someone that falls in love w/ a prospect you know you can get and reach for, like me, that's a great opportunity to snag some falling talent.

Yeah it looks like we did do that last year, so we'll do the same this year. It turns off from 3am ET to 7am ET.

Last year the draft took 5 days and the first round took 2 days because we had the timer expire.
