Risk of holdout, talk of retirement, sides still way apart on a deal.
Give me the picks. NOT matching the offer.
For whom the Bell Tooooooolls... TIME MARCHES ON!

Yup! Been told you all this before u tagged! He's definitely holding out. Wonder if he wouldve hit $12m in FA like some "fantasy experts" in our league said! Hahahah! Doubt it

I think he'll play 16 still... even if they don't get a deal done. I think he'd have easily gotten 10+ in FA too.

He'll play 16 on another team. Lol! Bucs need a RB! Two years in a row pissed off missing all of camp and preseason, bet he takes it further and holds out till he gets a contract. U know he's not fkn around if he's threatening retirement?

Retire and do what?! It's a completely hollow threat. Dude is gonna play football. I'd say the chances are:
0% Retirement.
10% Hold out till week 10.
15% Chance he holds out but cuts a deal sometime before week 5 or so.
75% Chance he gets a long term deal done with the Steelers making him the highest paid RB in the league.
I'm not going to factor in the slight but possible chance he blows a drug test and is forced to miss the whole year on suspension

3 words... chronic traumatic encephalopathy! Dudes made $16m its not like he isnt set for life, but the key word is threat. I dont believe he'll retire either but he did throw it out there. Yes pitt might cave but bells not gna. Think your %s are off too, more like 10-30-60%. My point is would u risk a 1/4 of ur cap in FA after all these threats? Obviously not if ur not matching! Lol

I think he's probably more worried about his knees than his head, but CTE is all the rage. If I didn't already have an elite RB capable of delivering a top 3 season, and I already had picks in this draft, I'd probably match the offer.

How was I arguing against my own thought? Especially on the CTE thing. YOU were wrong. On that and the likelyhood of a holdout... saying he'd be playing 16 but for another team. There's still a risk of holdout IMO. My percentages seem higher than likely now, but it still exists

This fckn guy! I was agreeing with ur stupid ass and u flipped ur thought just to argue. LIKE ALWAYS! So now ur flipflop makes u right? Haha convenient! Why else have guys retired in their prime? Dudes been knocked cold, took no time off, and has probably taken more hits than anyone in the league since. Whats he average 25 touches a game? After threatening retirement and 99% of brains studied have CTE thats a crazy thought! Hahaha! Just STFU

Way more guys have retired due to injuries to their lower body. Bo, Icky, TD, Jamaal Anderson, Marcus Lattimore. With head injuries you have a choice, with your knees/legs, you're pretty much just gone (though science/surgery has gotten better)... you can play through a dazey fog.
Going low has been putting guys on the couch since the 50s... guys calling it quits over a headache is relatively new. Hence my "all the rage" comment.
I don't know how we were agreeing when you came out saying he was DEFINITELY going to hold out. I've never taken that position.
I feel like we're just having a friendly discussion on a MB and you want to make it seem like it's a heated disagreement. Turn down the Steven A Smith a notch, bud.

Whats ur point that guys retired because of injuries? Before cte was even discovered which is YES new and the biggest threat to the future of the NFL. Why else would they suppress information and cover it up for years? Because its just a headache? Coming from a guy whos never strapped on a helmet in his life!

Key word "BET" where did i say definitely? I actually gave it a 40% chance. Go back n read the thread instead of making shit up.
