Kind of, but that is not the conclusion I would draw. I added even more examples so it should be even more clear.
Wouldn't it be easier to use the yearly average
Team A- 2 yr 6 million dollar deal = 3 million per yr
Team B- 1 yr 4 million dollar deal = 4 million per yr
Team C- 3 yr 8 million dollar deal = 3 million per yr

Teab B gets the player even though contract yrs and dollar amount is less than Team A or Team C

Just a suggestion
My team sure looks good on paper...even without a stud RB

I'm not sure it would be any easier since players increase in salary every year so a 3 million deal for 3 years is worth much more than a 3million deal for 1 year plus that not really reflective of how the actual bidding process will work.
