FRA lost to Poker/Mavs wk 2, so FRA would've missed the playoffs both based on H2H and the current Power Rank #s.Asrozas wrote: ↑Mon Feb 06, 2017 12:27 pmMaybe the seeding was different and RFA made the playoffs because of the head to head tiebreaker.
Thanks gridiron, yesterday was the first day i even looked at the power rankings. This thread made me think about. Didnt realize you could look week to week (still getting used to the site). If week 13 is the last wk of the reg season then something is definitely not right.
I'm pretty positive that the #s have changed since a few weeks ago. No idea why or how, but they have.
I'm pretty sure that the draft order and playoff seeding would have been based on the Playoffs tab when you press "Click to display Playoff table". When you click it now and look at how things are generated vs how the playoffs ended up being seeded and the draft order, the results are different.
It'll be nice to move away from Power Rank and use All-Play for these tie breakers. It's a lot more black and white w/ All Play vs the calculation that occurs to generate the Power Rank value.

Looks like this is the correct order. Not sure what happened or if it changed. Definitely want to go to all play record instead of power rank next year though.
Thanks for double checking it.

Usually, when the commissioner has a good team, these are the kind of polls you see...

Brutal....
So were this year playoff seeds all screwed up as well?
Just a little annoyed seeing as how I traded with Vit for his 1.02 and thought I moved the 1.10 and 1.13 but now it's the 1.03 for the 1.09 and 1.12....
I wonder WTF happened?

Re: Change Power Rank tiebreaker and tiebreakers in general
I'd still like to know what happened with the playoffs and why the seeding would have been incorrect? Why did FRA get the final playoff spot over Poker if FRA is supposed to be picking 9 and Poker/Mavs 10?
Years past, the playoff seeds and the draft ordering was a near match (with the exception of division winners with crappy records and who was picking 16th).
The first 7 picks of the draft seemed to match the team's seed in the toilet bowl. Why would this years draft order be different then the playoff seeds which are also determined by all of the tiebreakers? How can we just change up the draft order after all of this has been finished? If anything should this not have been brought up before the playoffs even started to make sure everyone was seeded correctly, if there was an error?
If the draft order is changed, then so be it but I can't say I agree with changing something like that after the season has concluded and the playoffs completed.

I could be wrong but it looks like week 12 was used to make those seedings.

Re: Change Power Rank tiebreaker and tiebreakers in general
If FRA was supposed to be in the 8 vs 9 game based on the updated draft order, the outcome of that bracket and some payouts looks like it would've been different.
Week 14: Poker vs LBer (L), FRA vs Dangsters (W)
Week 15: Poker vs Exec (L), FRA vs Devil Dogs (L)
Week 16: Devil Dogs vs Exec, and it likely would've been a W for Devil Dogs since he didn't submit a lineup that week since he was knocked out and took a 0 from Lamar Miller who was out that week, but had big scores on his bench w/ Ajayi and Ingram
So DD likely would've placed 5th and won the $45, Exec would've got $25, instead Exec beat Poker to get the $45

In any case we arent changing what happened in the past. Ultimatley, it's up to everyone to double check make sure their scoring, seeding, schedules are correct and let me know if not.

Re: Change Power Rank tiebreaker and tiebreakers in general
Nor would I expect the results to have changed. Just noting the alternate result of the playoffs since they were apparently seeded incorrectly.
Are the playoff seeds entered manually? Or does it get done automatically thru MFL based on the standings rules? If it's done manually, I guess we chalk it up as a user error and make note to double check in future seasons.
Bright side I guess is that I'll save a few since the #2 pick is now apparently #3
Anyways... Back to the original topic
All Play as tie breaker, I'm a YES for. Lets put it up for vote so we can move away from Power Rank

Yep and we have the playoff generator on the playoff tab that is automatically calculating the seeds for us. Then I manually enter them into each playoff bracket.Wascawy Wabbits wrote: ↑Tue Feb 07, 2017 1:37 pm

I'll get the poll to vote up tonight.
