I wanted to let everyone know about an apparent bug with the blind bidding system and how we'll handle it for the time being. We're still waiting to here back from MFL to find out the exact cause but it seems to not take into account the cap hit from the person that you are dropping. So what happened in our case was the Executioners dropped Fred Taylor and his $2.4 million contract for BenJarvis Green Ellis at 4.8 million. The available cap room is only $3,038,375 and if you factor in the $1.2 million cap hit this transaction would result in a cap figure of $45,561,625. Since this bid can't be accepted the player was awarded to the team with the next highest bid.
I just wanted everyone to be aware of this so when bids are made especially for players with large salaries we'll have to make sure we factor in the cap hit ourselves before we place the bid.
I'll update this thread once I hear more from MFL.
