Hey guys. This is mostly directed to Brandon but I know many of us commish our own leagues so could be useful info here. If you are a commish you should have gotten an MFL email today with the announcements.
1) Unlock all locked players calendar event - Rejoice! I've been begging Kevin at MFL for this for at least 3 years and it's finally here. The biggest thing this would allow is to make it easy to have multiple waivers a week with unlocking players multiple times a week. Huge feature. Doesn't really do much for this league but figured I'd mention it. Won't really do much for my leagues either but what I will do is convert them to use this calender event so that it will be on the calender for all the owners to see.
2) Pending Waivers home page module - I know a lot of people have asked for this one. I'll be adding it ASAP to my leagues and it will be a great addition for this league as well. Description says it will show the logged in owner all their pending waiver requests (and bidding) and allow easy access to edit such waivers. I like it.
3) Prevent Owners from Accepting trades after kickoff of a player involved - Nice option. It's a rule I have in my league and I think this one as well. Basically if a trade comes in on a Friday that includes a Thursday player the trade cannot be accepted until after the games are over. Right now I manually police this in my leagues so this is a nice option to have. I'll probably still just manually police it so that trade will actually go thru as I have it set for the commish to approve so I can just sit on it until Tuesday in that case.
Those are the main highlights.
Brandon...I'd love to see #2 both in this league and in the HyperActive league.
3 weeks to the NFL draft!

Re: New MFL features!
Good stuff for sure!
On the first one, could I use this make sure everyone that is dropped before the auction is available right away?
I added the second one to the My Franchise Tab. This is a very nice addition.
#3 might be nice depending on how it works. I'll have to look into it more.

Usually, when the commissioner has a good team, these are the kind of polls you see...

Actually you could do that now on the Waivers/Free Agents setup, choose the first option for dropping players:braven112 wrote:Good stuff for sure!

The player is not locked - owners may immediately pick up or request that player, subject to standard waiver rules.
Then once the season starts you can change it back to whatever you have it normally set to. Once the off-season begins change it back to players don't lock when dropped.
I don't think the new calender setup would do much for this league to be honest. BUT if we had multiple waivers per week this would allow that with ease vs. before.
But for my more standard league this will really help out.
We hold our draft the weekend before Labor Day. Then any dropped players will stay locked until the first waiver request after week 1 games. In the past I'm changing settings around because it's normally unlock Monday at 9pm (thus with 2 weeks between the draft and first waivers they would unlock a week early) but now I just put a calender event to unlock every Monday evening of the season
Even better in my friends league who has a wrinkle that players dropped during the last 2 weeks of the players are locked until after the final game. So the calendar now allows this with ease without changing settings all the time.
