Message Board ads
I think I've removed ads from the message board, you'll need to clear your browser cache first, but after that if you see one pop up let me know.

Usually, when the commissioner has a good team, these are the kind of polls you see...

Re: Message Board ads
I see them whenever I use my phone.
My desktop Chrome extensions have blocked them for a long time

Re: Message Board ads
Same here. I noticed that all the ads that I saw the other day were tagged the same so I was able to remove them but its possible they popup again. As of now I don't see them on my phone either.Wascawy Wabbits wrote: ↑Fri May 01, 2020 5:27 am

One of these days I'm going to re-write the message board feed myself.

Has using a messenger app like groupme ever been discussed ? It is free to use and makes discussions and trade talks a whole lot easier

Re: Message Board ads
In the leagues you guys are in that use groupme or what's app. Does that replace league chat? If not, do people still use chat or the message board?

Re: Message Board ads
In the leagues I'm in that use it, chat on the league site died down big time and went into those chat programs. The nice thing about an external messenger is that it archives it better than a league chat and you can ping people.
The message boards get used more for discussion on league rule changes in the ones I'm in
Most chatter and BS'ing happens in my GroupMe chats. With the departures/jettisons this off-season, chatter in The League has died down quite a bit, but could definitely be of use for trade discussion to get read notifications vs emails / league site.

Re: Message Board ads
In my leagues that use it, GroupMe has pretty much replaced the league site chat. All the chatter and trash talk takes place in GroupMe and it's even more active since it pretty much works like text messages with alerts (these can always be set to silent for those not as active in chat but still see the ticker for new messages), GIFs, videos, images, and you can set up events and polls as well. As wabbits mentioned, I've noticed owners are quicker to respond through GroupMe versus email offers. Hope that helps out?

Re: Message Board ads
Thanks guys that insight helps a lot. Is groupme the best to go with? Sounds like it is the most popular and a few people already use it.

Re: Message Board ads
So far the groupme chat has been awesome. For the few that haven't joined yet here is a link in case the original invite went to spam:
