So he takes Mcfadden. Talk about hard choice. No clear cut RB starter makes it even harder.
Will he end up a stud or the next Reggie Bush?
And the fun begins!
Danger Zone hasn't logged in for about a month. Hopefully he knows the draft is today.

Making the pick was a lot harder than I thought it would be. I wasn't going to automatically take McFadden even though I already have Fargas & Bush on my team. His off the field issues and the fact that I have no faith in JaMarcus Russell or Al Davis meant there were safer picks that I gave a lot of consideration too. I took McFadden (a boom-or-bust player) because if he "boomed" and I didn't take him...I'd be kicking myself for the next 5 years.

If I had decided not to go with McFadden it would have been Stewart going #1.

I was going to take him (Stewart) if I got the first pick.

I think McFadden is a great talent but he may suffer based on the situation he is going into. I truly think the Raiders won't get better until Al Davis steps down. Stewart gets over looked since he had the injury but he is going into an offense that likes to run the ball first then pass it.

I think in the end Mendenhall might have the best career of the three.

I don't know if I agree..... while Mendenhall was drafted to the best team in Pitt (as of now), he had only ONE GOOD year in college and I feel the way Mendenhall slid a little in the draft has to say something as well! I think Stewart is going to have the best career of the 3 if he avoids the bug. ( not just saying that cause I drafted him
![Razz :P](./images/smilies/icon_tongue.gif)
) The Panthers love to pound it and still are a competitive team. I also feel McFadden can be special too..... though being on the Raiders hurts him big time!
COME ON BOYZ YOUR UP!!!! DONT BE SCARED TO PICK!!!!

Not a whole lot of surprises so far other then Stewart dropping to #3.
I was targeting another player with the #12 pick but since Hardy fell I had to take him. I've never been all that high on the Buffalo passing game but Hardy makes a good compliment to Evans and could be a spot fantasy starter even this year and WR is a very weak part of my team. But picking a WR in dynasty is all about what he's going to do 3-5 years from now, not what he's going to do now so I'm pretty happy with the pick.
Now we're starting to enter "crapshoot" territory where just about anyone can get drafted.

So far Kevin Smith at 1.07 is the S.O.D.

I agree K Smith was a deal at 1.07. Of all the backs he goes to a team that needs a starter right now, not so much for the other rookie backs.

I must admit I was a bit surprised by the number of players I actually wanted in the 2nd round. Not as talentless as I once thought. Of course most are still crapshoots but still, good prospects. This does change my view on the importance of the rookie draft in terms of rebuilding.

I almost wanted to trade into the second round to grab a few more picks but then I'd have to drop other guys I like but there were some great guys available.

This has to be the deepest rookie draft in the last five years.

Saw a bit of homerfication in the 2nd round.
Carlson to a Seattle man... Brohm to a Cheesehead... I got me an LBer (who I expected to be LONG gone before my pick 2nd pick). Those are just the ones I noticed right off the bat... there were probably more though.

Guilty as charged. Although, I was actually in the process of re-submitting my auto picks and was going to bump him down a few rungs and move Hester and Hart ahead of him. I submitted it too late and I ended up with Brohm. Go Pack!

I was lookin at Keller or Carlson (... or maybe Simpson) but noone wanted DeSean so I guess I'll take him. Looks like the DeCleaters are home of the undersized!

No homerism here. I didn't draft a single Bear!
I almost took Brohm with the 2.07 pick but went a different way.

A little bit of homerism but with no TE signed longer than 1 year I need someone for the long haul and if he can be a seahawk all the better.
