I couldn't resist the Favre bid. Better safe than sorry, I guess. Feel free to outbid me, though. There is a limit to my homerism. :goteam:

I won't be able to trade him fast enough. :x

Seriously, though, the Packers need to welcome him back if he really does want to play. Put aside all of his flip-flopping. He has a track record with this waffling. Had he just come back like most of us thought he was anyway, how is it any different now than what it would have been?

Yeah, so Rodgers got all of the off-season work and they tweaked the offense around him. I recall Favre missing many an OTA in the past, it can't be that big of a deal to go back to the "old" offense. I feel bad for Rodgers but not bad enough to want Brett to stay retired. Tough spot for him, but those are the breaks.

I do think #4 is a bit of a jackass after all of this, but hell they just missed out on the Super Bowl with him. If he wants back, I think you got to make room for him.

Rodgers won't last 6 games... IF he makes it out of the preseason on two feet. He's a glass Joe. I would LOVE to be wrong as I think he's heady enough and has the other physical tools to lead the Packers to a winning season... he just can't take a lick or he's super unlucky.

You sound just like my brother-in-law. He's not sold on Rodgers at all. Hard to argue with you guys, too. He pulled his hammy last year, broke a foot or something a year or two before that. It's definitely a big concern. That's why I wouldn't be flipping the bird to Favre if I was Packers management. I don't believe they will if it comes to that.

Now he wants his unconditional release. WTF!?

Well, you ain't getting a release pal. Not so you can go play with the Bears or Vikes. I like that Thompson is looking out for the Green Bay Packers, not the Green Bay Favres. I just hope he isn't telling him he can't come back and play for them.

LOL @ a die-hard Bears fan having the winning bid on Favre.
