In case of a lockout
How do you think we should handle this?

Usually, when the commissioner has a good team, these are the kind of polls you see...

Re: In case of a lockout
Hmmm, probably effects us less I'd think since if there is one it would happen right around the time we have our off season draft. So I would do the off season draft as normal. Rookie draft...well, assuming the NFL has one then we would to.
But even then I think we need to be fluid in terms of what we do based on what really happens. If the lockout goes into the actual season then we'll just have to shorten the schedule I'd think based on when they actually start giving preference to getting in division games.

Tough call. I would say just be flexible as possible until we know a little more. Other than bumping dates and so forth, not sure what else we can do until we get a better picture.

Right now the draft might be the first tricky part, if the NFL holds their draft then its easy and I think we do ours like normal but if they don't for some reason we'll probably have to hold off on ours until after the NFL draft is finished.

The 2011 NFL draft will take place at its schedule place and time. It was negotiated as part of the current CBA and won't be affected by the lockout.

I would keep running the league as if there was no lockout since a lockout is not a given. The rookie draft will take place as normal and if there is a lockout we just have to adjust as we go.

Re: In case of a lockout
Schedule came out today and apparently they're going to have bye weeks in week 11 this year
Normally we have double headers week 11-13 but with this change will we be shifting that week 11 doubleheader to earlier in the season when noone has byes?

That is one strange bye week schedule. No bye's in week 10.
Bye weeks appear to be weeks 5-9 and week 11. Weird.

We'll have to tweak the schedule to avoid the bye weeks, I think we may want to hold off till things settle to get this finalized for sure but we may just have to swap our week 10 with week 11 to avoid the byes then, I haven't looked at the schedule that closely yet.

We could always do it week 3 or 4 as well.
