2011 Important Offseason Dates

As a reminder here are the upcoming league off-season items for the rest of the 2010 season and start of the 2011 season. Pls point out any errors and commish pls update if something needs to be.

Rest of 2010 post-season

* Players dropped until Feb 15th still have their 50% current year cap hit count still for 10.
* Teams have until Feb 15th to clear players off their IR and Taxi Squads
* Roster limits (min and max) are lifted (commish will need to make that adjustment)

Jan 3rd

* Trading opens up for the off-season including 2012 picks

Feb 1st

* Must pay up for 2011 season

Feb 1st - Feb 15th

* Tagging period

Feb 15th

* Start of the 2011 season
* Commish will drop any unkeepable players not tagged, everyone still on a roster get's their raise and contracts are reduced by 1

Feb 16th - Feb 28th

* Teams can make offers on tagged players

Mar 1st - Mar 7th

* Team can match offers on tagged players

Mar 15th (Approx)

* Offseason FA auction begins

Early May - Rookie draft

Aug 14th

* Teams must get back down under the max roster requirements
* Rosters will be set to 22 max, min of 17 (however you must have 20 under contract at all times, 17 active plus 3 TS for example) once the season starts.
* Rookies drafted in May must be assigned a contract or else the default of 1 will stay

Aug 31st

* Last day that players can be brought up on the FA auction. Players still on auction will have a week to finish.

Sept 7th

* FA auction is over
