2012 Season is officially underway!!

I dropped anyone who wasn't tagged and had a year on their contract left, increased salaries by 10%, reduced contracts by 1 year and updated salaries to reflect the current tag amounts.

Let me know if I overlooked anything.

Next deadline is Feb 29th at 8:45 PT / 11:45 ET to bid on players that have been tagged.

A question... i had seen a chain on potentially delaying the start of our Free Agency pickups till POST the Rookie Draft... in the Constitution we are looking to start FA on 3/15 - is that still our date? Or are we considering a shift? Thanks

Eek.. I hope we don't have to wait until May for FA to start! I'll be away on vacation during that last week in May..

I'm also kinda curious about when FA starts. Constitution says March 15, but the calendar says March 20?

It'll be around March 15th. Last year I think we delayed it to the 20th due to someone on a business trip.

We have it in March/April because most people are around and the vast majority of the auction is over within a month, before people take off on family vacations. Rookie draft is usually first weekend after the NFL draft, give or take. Auction does run thru the summer though so you can keep bringing undrafted guys up iffn you want up until 1 week before the first regular season game.

I'll update the calendar right now. Last year we did talk about moving it even later but that was due to the lockout. Luckily we won't have to worry about that this year.
