Has it ever been discussed about having contract holdouts?
Say if a player on a 2nd rd rookie contract performs at a top 5-10 level 2-3 years in a row, the owner can choose to sign him at the market level or drop him in the FA pool and try and re-sign him?

Interesting but would be a nightmare to track it by hand. Bad enough tracking cap hits across seasons.
