Trade Deadline

Does the trade deadline need to be re-visited at all with Thursday night games? I wasn't sure if this has been brought up in the past or not. I'm pretty sure Thursday night games didn't start until late in the season years prior, but with it having started right at the beginning, does this throw a bit of a wrench into the trade deadline date?

Trades may be offered from the conclusion of week 17 to the friday before week 10 of the following regular season.

Good point. Probably doesn't matter much other then if Thursday players are included in a trade, it couldn't be processed until the following week.

But to avoid that the deadline should probably be moved up to Wednesday, perhaps the same time waivers run.

For what its worth we've had Thursday games to start week 10 every year since 2008 which was our second year of existence, in 2007 they didn't start till week 12. It wouldn't hurt to clarify the rule though. The deadline is supposed to be before week 10 starts and it was set to Friday rather than Sunday to give everyone time to set their lineups in case a deal does go through.

My initial though would be to keep it Friday and and clarify how to handle Thursday players going forward that way we are only affecting a hand full of players each year. Realistically we are looking at 6-8 guys each year (out of the 400 or so we have rostered league wide) that could play in a Thursday game that week.

I couldn't find a situation where a player that played a Thursday game was involved in a trade after he played. So we don't have any prior precedent to go by. This was the closest that I could find.
