Re: Free Agency 2014!!!!!!
Oh, the Constitution does need some updating with some of the latest changes we've made anyway like the end of the auction dates.
What I might suggest for the auction date is that it be list in there as a bit more generic such as "Thursday at X time" (or Friday) around March 15th, date will be finalized on the league calender each year. Or something like that.

I had the auction bids notifications setup to Emil me. I figured once bids started being made, it was time to start.

Why not just update it like we do with the draft date so there's no set date, but a generalized time based on the NFLs schedulebonscott wrote:Oh, the Constitution does need some updating with some of the latest changes we've made anyway like the end of the auction dates.

I remember a rule change since I've been here where that time changed so the east coasters wouldn't have to be up at midnight when the first timers started to endbonscott wrote:On the timing, I've always thought we started on Thursday to go with the start of March Maddness however it seems March Maddness is once again pushed out another week, they better start calling it April Maddness or something now.braven112 wrote:I thought it was earlier than last year myself. Maybe the the calendar carried over from last year pushed it up a day and I didn't notice? I was a little surprised you weren't on yesterday after I texted you.bocious wrote:Actually, I didn't start until today because the constitution says free agency wasn't starting until today, March 14th. It's more than a little frustrating to log in on the day referenced in the constitution only to find out that my auctions are more likely to be sniped because they won't close until a day after the first players go off the table.
My only surprise was when my phone started going crazy at 9am instead of noon when the auction usually starts as I recall (to go with first tip off of BBall games...which of course aren't there this year).
Oh well, we're there now.

That was awfully thoughtful of BTP to perform 21 straight bump bids on Sproles, SJax ( ), and Crabtree the other dayAchon44 wrote:About 3hrsbonesman wrote:Here's a big fuck you to BTP. How much time was on the clock when you bumped Wallace to my max bid? Ahole

It would have been a lot easier if you guys didn't set your proxy bids so high.

owners making bids in 25k increments don't really want the player IMO

Very disappointing here. Brandon takes Brees and Brady for very reasonable salaries. I suspect he'll be trying to work a trade at some point.

Lets make a deal!!
Tom Brady for Texas Rangers 2nd baseman Russell Wilson I really need the home runs and stolen bases in my 5x5 Rotisserie baseball league.

Usually, when the commissioner has a good team, these are the kind of polls you see...

looks to me like you need to be trying to work over either LVE or Executioners.
