AcerFC- Transition Tag, Minn D

Post by acerfc » Sun Feb 08, 2009 6:26 pm

Franchise Player: D Minnesota Vikings, Minn
08 salary: $550,000
09 Tagged Salary: $671,350
If I only would have started the Detroit D, I would be the 2007 Dynasty champion. Damn you New Orleans D

In 08, I lost in the playoffs to Antonio Bryants career game and amazing TD grab (lost by .4). Actually it was one catch

Wait, did I have to figure out what percentage the player went up. Is that what the 20% means in Toms example.

If you Franchise the Minny D that means that their new salary will be the Average of the Top 5 D last season *or* 20% increase, whichever is greater. So that would mean the salary you are claiming would be $781,200 since a 20% raise is 660,000.

The salary you listed above would actually be for the Transition tag, top 10 average.

I dont want to franchise them, only transition. Does that mean I dont add 20%

Compare the 2 and take whichever is higher.

Looks like Transition is 671,350 and 20% is 660,000 so the transition salary is higher.
