Constitution Updates

Post by bonscott » Mon Feb 14, 2011 6:46 pm

As with another thread I think there are a few things we discussed and/or voted on last season we need to get updated into the constitution.

1) Tagged player bidding deadline and "overtime": http://forum.theleague.us/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=636

2) FCFS voted in this year (even though most of us forgot that we had a 2nd waiver going...will have to address this during the offseason as to what to do in 2012): http://forum.theleague.us/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=779

3) Compensatory picks language update: http://forum.theleague.us/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=509

4) Several times have been adjusted on the calendar so there is less confusion. If a deadline is 11:45 pm for example these were updated to 11:45 EST/8:45 PST so that it doesn't appear on the calendar as the next day for those not in PST. Thus any such times in the constitution should also be updated to reflect this so there is not a discrepancy.

In addition there area couple things that we have been doing the past couple years that should probably but put in writing:

1) Rookies in the Rookie draft were given default contracts of 5 last year to make things easier. You still have until the August deadline to adjust as needed.

2) Rookies drafted in the auction and not in the actual rookie draft (including undrafted free agents). Going by the strict rules they would have to have a contract within 24 hours *but* I know some of these guys have had adjustments at the August deadline the past couple years. So I would suggest that we just modify the wording to say any rookie drafted can have an adjustment by the August deadline.
